- Prepare your camera by ensuring the strap eyelets or triangular split rings on both sides of the camera body are clean and unobstructed.
- Thread the lanyard by taking one of the narrow leather ends and passing it through the camera's strap eyelet from the outside in.
- Secure the buckle by threading the leather end back through the metal adjustment buckle, ensuring it is pulled tight and lies flat.
- Repeat the process on the other side of the camera, making sure the wide central band is not twisted.
- Adjust the length by sliding the leather through the metal buckles on both sides until the camera rests at your preferred height on your chest or hip.
- To maintain the leather, occasionally wipe it with a dry cloth. You may apply a light leather conditioner every few months to keep it supple and enhance the patina.
